BC and Alberta Have Upped The Cost of Cutting Emissions

In 2008, when BC introduced the carbon tax it was revenue neutral. Any revenue collected would be returned in the form of lower corporate and indiviudal taxes so there was no net increase in the government's tax revenues.  That's now changed in BC and Alberta - like any other tax, the carbon tax will be a revenue generator, which is bad news for the economy.

It could be easily called the tyranny of onsided opinion because the groups opposed to contrary opinion are prepared to use violence to squelch alternate thought.

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario wants schools named after Sir John A. Macdonald to change their name. In Balitmore the oldest statue of Christopher Columbus in the US was destroyed. While we’re removing repugnant symbols of the past – what about getting rid of the official US racist party who opposed ending slavery and was the champion of segregation - the Democratic Party.

35 million Canadians currently gets access to 300 million of the richest customers on the planet, 50% of Ontario's economy is dependent on US/Canada Trade. A major disruption in trade would be a disaster, but common sense doesn't matter when you have an ideaolgy.

The Federal Liberals contant message that they are doing everything for the "middle class" clearly resonates with voters, and it also provides cover when Justin Trudeau got caught breaking his own rules regarding pay for access at a dinner for Chinese billionaires. The Liberals do lots of things that hurt the middle class. For example one of their main six goals for the renegotiation of NAFTA that includes preserving a system that transfers wealth from the lowest earning 40% of families to a privileged group of just 13,500!
