Let's Be More Like Norway

The Big Tax Big Government apologists who want Canada to be more like Norway would have a fit if Canada began to derive the majority of its income from Drilling for Oil and Gas off the coast of BC like Norway does from its reserves in the North Sea. The same Norway that transports its oil through a vast network of undersea and land based pipelines.

Its amazing that we are in the midst of a technological revolution that is going to kill, according to a recent studies, millions of jobs in Canada yet labour leaders, politicians and those setting the education agenda won't even acknowlege the problem.

Move over robotics, artificial intelligence, government regulations and taxation - there's a new obstacle to job creation that few people know about.  I'm talking about the shocking number of job applicants who can't pass a basic drug test.

Canada's economy boomed in May bringing growth to a total 4.6% for the last 12 months. The reason why? Strong growth in resources led by Oil and Gas. Nothing else came close. A reminder of how important resources are in making sure our Governments have $35 Million in cash to build things like the new "diversity gardens" just announced.

One Pipeline Down....Two To Go?

To put it into perspective, the cancelled 36 Billion Pacific Northwest LNG project was 2 times the size of BC's Healthcare budget. That, plus the pressure to derail the 47 Billion Kinder Morgan pipeline and cancel the Site C Dam sends a powerful message that resource development in BC is unwelcome.

One of America's dirty little secrets, and the reason so many are growing fed-up with theiir Government, has to do with their system of lobbying. The end result beiing laws passed are more about the needs of lobbyists than the needs of US citizens.

Foreign Money Influence In Canadian Elections

In the States its non-stop Russia interferred with the outcome of their recent election, though proof is hard to come by. Here in Canada there's no problem with proof that large US environmental groups did influence the outcome in Canada by openly pumping in money. Should foreign money be allowed to influence Canadian Elections?
